Job Description

Major Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end sales process for rice and other commodities.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet revenue and market share targets.
  • Identify, onboard, and manage distributors, wholesalers, and key channel partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, traders, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Monitor competitors and recommend strategies to stay ahead in the market.
  • Manage pricing strategies and negotiate contracts to maximize profitability.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field (MBA is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 5 years proven experience in commodity sales, with at least 2 years selling rice.
  • Strong network of distributors, wholesalers, and buyers in the rice market.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and market insight.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a sales team.
